Oatmeal with Cheese
Ingredients
- 1 quart boiling water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 egg
Directions
- Put boiling water and salt over a quick fire ; stir in gradually the rolled oats till the mixture thickens, then cover and cook over boiling water 2 hours.
- At the last moment stir in cheese and butter, and just before serving, an egg, beaten light.
