Spätzle (German Noodles)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Mix together well.
  2. Let stand 1/2 hour.
  3. Scoop up generous amount of dough with wooden spoon.
  4. Cut off small pieces of dough and drop into large kettle of boiling salted water.
  5. Spatzle rise to surface when done.
  6. Drain well.
  7. Transfer to deep serving dish.
  8. Pour melted butter or warmed sour cream over spatzle.
  9. (May be served plain with goulash or stew).
