Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1 quart Brussels sprouts
  • 2 quart boiling water
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cup milk

Directions

  1. Vegetables should be thoroughly washed and cooked till tender in freshly boiling, salted water (1/2 tablespoon salt to 1 quart water).
  2. Wash well and change water several times while cooking, keeping kettle uncovered.
  3. Cook 20 to 30 minutes.
  4. Drain and finish as for creamed salsify recipe.
