Broiled Swordfish Steaks

Ingredients

  • 2 swordfish, , steaks about 1-inch thick (2 pounds)
  • 1 teaspoon monosodium glutamate
  • salt
  • pepper
  • melted butter, or margarine

Directions

  1. Sprinkle surface of fish with monosodium glutamate.
  2. Let stand 5 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Brush with melted butter.
  5. Place on greased broiler rack in broiler, with surface of fish about 2 inches below heat.
  6. Broil about 8 minutes on each side, brushing often with melted butter or margarine.
