Skillet Rice

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup fat
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup raw rice
  • 2 small cans tomato sauce
  • 1 3/4 cup hot water
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash pepper

Directions

  1. Melt fat in skillet.
  2. Add onion, green pepper, beef, and rice.
  3. Brown.
  4. Add tomato sauce and water.
  5. Cover.
  6. Simmer for one half hour.
  7. Serve.
