Rice Stew
Ingredients
- beef or mutton, bones
- a few pieces smoked bacon
- 2 pound rice
- 6 onions
- a few herbs
- pepper
- salt
- 3 quart water
Directions
- Break the bones and cut up the bacon small, put both into the water and simmer for two hours, skimming now and then, add the other things and bring to a boil, after which let it simmer for half an hour.
