Haricot Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 pint beans
  • 1 pint milk
  • 2 quart water
  • 1 onion
  • pepper, to taste
  • salt, to taste

Directions

  1. Soak the beans in water all night.
  2. Next morning put them in a saucepan with the water, pepper, salt, and sliced onion.
  3. Boil gently 4 hours.
  4. Then mash all through a sieve into a basin, stir in the milk, and return to the saucepan to get hot.
