Bread-Crumb Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 quart lukewarm water
  • 4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon molasses
  • 4 cup fine bread crumbs, not dry
  • 1 -2 yeast cakes
  • 8 cup flour

Directions

  1. Soften the yeast in 1/4 cup of water.
  2. Soak the bread crumbs in the rest of the water.
  3. When crumbs are soft, mash thoroughly, add salt, molasses, yeast, and flour enough to make a stiff dough.
  4. Proceed like ordinary bread.
