Bread-Crumb Bread
Ingredients
- 1 quart lukewarm water
- 4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon molasses
- 4 cup fine bread crumbs, not dry
- 1 -2 yeast cakes
- 8 cup flour
Directions
- Soften the yeast in 1/4 cup of water.
- Soak the bread crumbs in the rest of the water.
- When crumbs are soft, mash thoroughly, add salt, molasses, yeast, and flour enough to make a stiff dough.
- Proceed like ordinary bread.
