Oatmeal Bread II
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoon shortening
- 1/2 yeast cake
- 1/4 cup water, to soften yeast cake
- flour, to knead
- Pour boiling water over rolled oats and shortening ; allow to cool.
- Add other materials and mix according to usual method.
- Bake longer than wheat bread.
