Watermelon Rind Pickle
Ingredients
- 10 pound watermelon
- 2 pound sugar
- 1 quart vinegar
- 1/2 ounce cloves
- 1 ounce cinnamon
Directions
- Boil the melon rind in water until tender ; drain the water off ; make a syrup of the other ingredients.
- Boil all this and pour over the rind boiling hot; drain off the syrup and let it come to a boil; then pour it over the second time and seal jars.
