Teleci s Parikou (Veal with Paprika)

Ingredients

  • 2 pound veal
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 2 finely minced onions, medium
  • beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions

  1. Cut veal into medium sized pieces.
  2. Place saucepan (preferably iron or heavy aluminum).
  3. When it bubbles, add meat, salt to taste, cover, and stew until tender.
  4. Then add several tablespoon of the broth.
  5. Dust with the flour.
  6. Add paprika and stew a while longer.
  7. Add sour cream.
  8. When it bubbles, remove the meat from the gravy, strain the gravy to remove any lumps and pour the gravy over the meat.
  9. For added zest, add a small amount of vinegar.
  10. More flour may be needed to thicken the gravy.
