Stuffed Flank Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon butter, or margarine
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 3 tablespoon hot water
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 flank steak, (about 2 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoon fat or salad oil
  • 1/2 cup boiling water

Directions

  1. Set oven for slow, 325f.
  2. Melt butter in a 10-inch skillet.
  3. Add onion.
  4. Cook until golden brown.
  5. Add next 6 ingredients and mix well.
  6. Spread on steak.
  7. Roll up like a jelly roll; tie securely with string.
  8. Heat fat in the skillet.
  9. Brown meat roll on all sides.
  10. Sprinkle with additional salt and pepper; add the 1/2 cup boiling water.
  11. Cover; bake 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
