Best Meat Loaf

Yield: 6 - 8 servings

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Set oven for moderate 350f.
  2. Combine first 6 ingredients.
  3. Let stand 5 minutes.
  4. Add onion and meat; mix well.
  5. Line a loaf pan, 8 by 5 by 3 inches, with bacon across the width of pan.
  6. Pack meat mixture into pan.
  7. Bake 1 1/2 hours.
  8. Remove from oven.
  9. Invert meat loaf on baking sheet: lift off pan: raise oven temperature to very hot, 450f.
  10. Return meat loaf to oven for about 10 minutes to crisp bacon.
