Squash

Ingredients

  • 2 pound squash
  • 2 quart boiling salted water
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Cut in pieces and remove seeds.
  2. May be pared before or after cooking.
  3. Will be drier if steamed instead of boiled, but a longer time will be required.
  4. Cook 1 to 1 1/2 hours, mash, and season.
