Salt Meat Salad

Ingredients

  • cold salt meat
  • 1 tablespoon capers
  • 1 tablespoon mustard pickles
  • watercress
  • egg
  • beet

Directions

  1. Cut up into neat pieces any scraps of cold salt meat.
  2. To a small quantity, add capers, mustard pickles, and small pieces of watercress chopped fine.
  3. Mix well together, heap on to a dish and garnish, if liked, with the white and yolk of a hard boiled egg rubbed through a sieve, strips of beetroot and small bunches of watercress.
