Kraut Runza - Runza Filling

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 large onions
  • 3 pound cabbage, shredded
  • 3 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Cook ingredients until cabbage is tender.
  2. Cool.
  3. Roll out pieces of dough to 1/4 inch thickness (about 5" x 8").
  4. Fill with runza filling and pinch together bread dough edges.
  5. Place smooth side up on greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 400f until golden brown.
