Hungarian Delicate Fritters

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Beat egg yolks, sugar, and salt together until light and lemon colored.
  2. Add cream, flavoring, cardamon seeds, and stiffly beaten egg whites.
  3. Add flour and mix thoroughly.
  4. Chill in refrigerator several hours or over night.
  5. On a lightly floured board roll chilled dough out 1/8 inch thick and cut into diamond shapes about two inches in length.
  6. Cut a slit near the top of one point and draw opposite point through the slit.
  7. Fry in deep fat (360f) until golden brown.
  8. Drain and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
