Bublanina (Cherry Cake)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add egg yolks.
  3. Beat.
  4. Add alternately, beating after each addition milk and flour.
  5. Fold in egg whites, lemon extract, salt.
  6. Pour into greased pan (9 by 13 inches).
  7. Sprinkle about pitted cherries over batter.
  8. Bake at 375f degrees until brown.
  9. Sprinkle powdered sugar over the top and cut into squares to serve.
