Cottage Cheese Dessert Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatine
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 cup creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • dash Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • salt, to taste
  • salad greens
  • mixed diced fruits and berries
  • 1 cup mayonnaise

Directions

  1. Sprinkle gelatine on cold water; dissolve over hot water; cool slightly.
  2. Combine cottage cheese and mayonnaise.
  3. Stir in gelatine.
  4. Whip cream; fold in with lemon juice, tabasco, and sugar.
  5. Add salt to taste.
  6. Spoon into 5-cup ring mold; chill until firm.
  7. Unmold.
  8. Garnish with salad greens.
  9. Fill center with fruit.
  10. Serve sour cream dressing separately.
