Chicken Noodle Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 cup chopped onions
  • 4 pound ground beef
  • 32 ounce narrow noodles, wider for more servings, cooked
  • 16 ounce canned mushrooms
  • 16 ounce canned ripe olives, chopped
  • 2 pound American cheese, diced in 1/2 inch cubes
  • 4 cans mushroom soup, thinned with
  • 2 cup milk
  • 1 cup crisp chow mein noodles, for topping
  • chopped salted nuts, for topping

Directions

  1. Brown the onions in butter or drippings, add beef and brown.
  2. Mix all ingredients.
  3. Pour the mushroom soup over all.
  4. Bake in greased casserole 1 hour at 375 f.
  5. Put on the topping for the last 15 minute.
  6. One may use crumbled shredded wheat in place of chow mein noodles.
  7. Add topping.
