Beleila (Peeled Wheat Dessert)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Stir the wheat into the water in a medium saucepan and cook for 30 minutes or until the wheat is tender.
  2. If necessary, another h cup of water may be added, but the consistency should be very thick.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in sugar and vanilla.
  4. Mix the raisins, coconut and nuts.
  5. Spoon the cooked wheat into 6-8 small bowls.
  6. Sprinkle the raisin-nut mixture over the top and refrigerate.
  7. Serve cold.
