Beef Soup



  1. Make several cuts in the beef and chop the bone; put into the soup kettle with the water and let simmer for one hour, then add the vegetables and season to taste.
  2. Simmer for two hours.
  3. Some think it an improvement to fry the meat and vegetables slightly before putting them in the kettle.
