Beef Biscuit Roll

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef chuck
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • butter, or beef fat

Directions

  1. Brown the onion, green pepper and beef in butter or beef fat in a frying pan.
  2. Add the seasonings.
  3. Make a regulation biscuit dough and spread dough with meat mixture and roll like jelly roll.
  4. If dough is too soft, chill in refrigerator first, then cut in 1 1/2-inch slices.
  5. Place in greased pan, cut side up, brush tops with melted butter.
  6. Bake 20-25 minutes at 450° f.
  7. Serve with brown gravy or cheese sauce.
Note: Serve with Green Peas, Braised Celery
