Bacon Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 pound fat bacon
  • 6 onions
  • 3 pound potatoes

Directions

  1. Boil the bacon, cut into slices; chop the onions, peel the potatoes and boil them in as much of the bacon water as will just cover them.
  2. When the potatoes are done, mash them, grease a baking dish, put in layers of potatoes and onions, and layers of bacon, covering the top with potatoes.
  3. Bake brown.
