
Alumnae Taffy
Ingredients
- 1 pound brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
Directions
- Put sugar and water in a saucepan, and when the mixture comes to a boil add the melted butter and ginger.
- Boil without stirring until the taffy hardens quickly in cold water.
- Remove from fire and place in buttered tins to cool.
- Vanilla, or other flavoring, may be used instead of ginger, and nuts may be added, if desired.
