White Mountain Cream Icing

Ingredients

  • 2 cup sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract

Directions

  1. Boil the sugar and water without stirring until it threads when dropped from the spoon.
  2. Pour slowly into the whites of the eggs beaten stiffly.
  3. Beat until it holds its shape.
  4. Add the flavoring and spread on the cake.
