String Beans

Ingredients

  • 2 quart string beans
  • 2 quart boiled salted water
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Pare thinly on both sides to remove strings, cut off ends, and cut in inch pieces.
  2. Cook 1 to 2 hours.
  3. Season as required.
