Scalloped Potatoes
Ingredients
- 1 peck potatoes, sliced thin (8 1/2 quarts)
- 1/2 cup butter, (1/4 pound)
- 1 cup flour, (1/4 pound)
- 5 tablespoon salt, (2 1/2 ounces)
- pepper
- 1 1/2 quart evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 quart water, mixed with evaporated milk
Directions
- Place a layer of potatoes in a buttered baking dish.
- Dot with butter, sprinkle with flour, salt and pepper.
- Repeat.
- Pour diluted milk over all.
- Bake in a moderate oven (350f) until potatoes are tender, 45 minutes to 1 hour.
