Pineapple Charlotte

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoon granulated gelatine
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 orange, worth of juice
  • 1/3 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup shredded pineapple
  • 1/2 pint whipped cream

Directions

  1. Soak gelatine in cold water ten minutes.
  2. Add boiling water and sugar.
  3. Stir this until ingredients are thoroughly dissolved, then add juice of 1/2 an orange and shredded pineapple.
  4. Mix well and put in ice box to cool.
  5. Before the mixture quite hardens, beat 1/2 pint of cream in it and replace it in the ice box to harden.
  6. Garnish with shredded cocoanut or cherries and serve.
