Perfection Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon granulated gelatin
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 tablespoon cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2/3 cup diced celery
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon pimento, cut fine

Directions

  1. Add the cold water to the gelatin, and let it stand for five minutes.
  2. Add the boiling water.
  3. When thoroughly dissolved add the vinegar, salt, lemon juice and sugar.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Add the celery, cabbage, green pepper and pimento when the jelly begins to set.
  6. Pour into a mould which has been dipped in cold water.
  7. Allow to set in a very cold place for one hour.
  8. Serve with salad dressing.
