Peanut Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 pint shelled peanuts, chopped fine
  • 1 pint water
  • 1 quart milk
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon corn, starch
  • salt, as needed
  • pepper, as needed

Directions

  1. Boil the peanuts in the water twenty minutes, or for five minutes if roasted nuts are used.
  2. Add milk, thickening, and seasoning.
