Oatmeal Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup cooked oatmeal or rolled oats
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoon shortening, melted
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoon sugar, or syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

  1. Cook oatmeal, using one part oatmeal to two parts water.
  2. A larger proportion of water makes gummy muffins.
  3. Mix milk, oatmeal, egg, and melted shortening.
  4. Add dry ingredients after sifting them together.
  5. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
