Nut Candy

Ingredients

  • 2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup cream
  • water
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup nuts

Directions

  1. Put maple syrup into a marbelized pan; add cream.
  2. Stir over a hot fire until, when a little of the syrup will harden in cold water.
  3. Now add nuts, cut or broken as may be desired.
  4. Stir the nuts into the syrup.
  5. Pour into a buttered plate, and then when partly cold mark in squares.
