Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Cook the potatoes (peeled) in boiling salted water.
  2. When done, drain off the water, pass through a vegetable ricer, or mash well with a potato masher.
  3. Add butter, salt, pepper, and the milk.
  4. Beat vigorously, reheat and pile lightly in a hot dish.
