Liver Pinwheels

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Filling: mix together: liver, ground fine, onion, salt, dash of pepper.
  2. Sift together: flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in finely: shortening.
  4. Stir in: milk.
  5. Round up on lightly floured cloth covered board.
  6. Knead lightly (about 30 seconds).
  7. Roll or pat out about 1/4" thick.
  8. Spread with liver filling, roll like a jelly roll.
  9. Seal well by pinching the edges together, cut into 1" slices.
  10. Place a little apart on a cookie sheet.
  11. Bake at 425f for 10- 12 minutes; until golden brown.
  12. Serve piping hot.
