Escalloped Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes, (medium sized)
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • milk, (about one cup)

Directions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes.
  2. Slice very thin.
  3. Mix through the sliced potatoes, the flour, salt, pepper and the butter in small pieces.
  4. Place the mixture in a well-buttered pan or baking dish, and cover with milk.
  5. Usually one cup suffices.
  6. Bake in a moderate oven forty-five to fifty minutes.
  7. (Do not fill the pan more than three-fourths full, as the pctatoes will boil over.
