Cranberry Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 cup cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Directions

  1. Cook the cranberries and water until the cranberries are soft.
  2. Add the sugar and cook five minutes.
  3. Mix flour and water, add the egg-yolk, butter and extract.
  4. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Add to the cranberry mixture.
  6. Pour into the uncooked pie-crust.
  7. Place pastry bars lattice fashion across the top, and bake thirty-five minutes in a moderate oven.
