
Corn Chowder II
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup corn, canned or fresh from the cob
- 3 cup potatoes
- 4 cup water
- 2 tablespoon salt pork
- 3 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon onion
Directions
- Cook corn in the water for 10 min.
- Slice, parboil, and drain the potatoes.
- Try out the salt pork, add onion, and cook till yellow.
- Add the potatoes and vegetables to this with the stock and cook till potatoes are soft, then add the milk (scalded) and the seasoning, with crackers if desired.
