Buttered Vegetables

Ingredients

  • 4 turnips
  • 2 quart boiled salted water
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Scrape carrots and cook 1 to 2 hours.
  2. Slice or cut in strips either before or after cooking.
  3. Add required seasonings or serve in 1 cup white sauce.
