Browned Parsnips

Directions
- To get rid of the woody core, boil the parsnips whole, split lengthwise, and strip out the tough center.
- Dip the halves in flour and fry in fat until they are golden brown.
- Or mash and season the parsnips to make little cakes, and fry them.
