Bean Loaf

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 quart boiled navy beans
  • 1 1/2 quart bread crumbs, (3/4 pound)
  • 6 small onions, chopped
  • 1 cup melted bacon, fat
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 tablespoon salt, (1 1/2 ounces)
  • 1 1/2 quart evaporated milk

Directions

  1. Mash beans.
  2. Add other ingredients and stir to blend well.
  3. Pour into well greased baking pans.
  4. Bake in a moderate oven (375f) about 45 minutes.
  5. Serve with tomato sauce.
