Bean Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 quart water
  • 1 cup beans
  • 5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 or 2 yeast cakes
  • 1/2 cup lukewarm water, to soften yeast cake
  • 8 cup flour

Directions

  1. Soak the beans over night.
  2. Drain off this water and cook the beans in the 1 quart of water until soft.
  3. Put through a potato ricer, or a sieve, cool, and when lukewarm add other ingredients and make and bake like ordinary bread.
