Barbecued Short Ribs

Ingredients

  • 3 pound short ribs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoon lard
  • 3 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, (optional)
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Have ribs cut into sections two to three inches long.
  2. Brown in lard.
  3. Brown minced onion.
  4. Add all remaining ingredients to short ribs.
  5. Cover and cook slowly or bake in a moderate oven (350° f) 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until tender.
Note: Serve with Baked Potatoes, Broccoli
