Bacon Muffins

Ingredients

  • 2 cup flour
  • 3 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoon melted shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup bits crisp bacon
  • 1 cup milk

Directions

  1. Sift flour, add sugar, salt and baking powder and sift again, add beaten egg and milk.
  2. Add melted shortening beating in quickly.
  3. Add bits of crisped bacon.
  4. Bake in hot (425 degree) oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Serve with orange marmalade.
