Virginia Ham

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Let ham soak overnight in cold water.
  2. Place in fresh cold water and add cider, molasses, ground cloves, cinnamon and paprika.
  3. Boil slowly for five to seven hours, depending on the size of the ham.
  4. Allow to cool in water in which it was cooked.
  5. Remove skin, cover with brown sugar and stick thickly with the whole cloves.
  6. Bake for about an hour.
