Uncooked Ripe Tomato Relish

Ingredients

  • 2 quart (about 12 to 14 medium-sized) sliced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seed
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 3 tablespoon sugar

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients and stir until well blended.
  2. Pour into clean jars and cover.
  3. Kept in refrigerator or other place as cold, relish will keep from 2 to 3 weeks.
