Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 slice of onion, or 1/8 tbl onion salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Simmer for fifteen minutes the tomatoes, water, bay leaves, sugar, cloves and onion.
  2. Strain and press out all the pulp.
  3. Melt the butter, add the flour, blend well, slowly add the strained tomato and salt.
  4. Cook one minute.
  5. Serve hot on the meat.
