Strawberry Tapioca

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoon granulated tapioca
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries, and cut in halves with a spoon.
  2. Add the sugar, mix well, and set in a cold place.
  3. Mix the tapioca, the sugar and the salt.
  4. Add the boiling watcr slowly.
  5. Cook ten minutes in the upper part of the double boiler.
  6. Add the vanilla.
  7. When cold, add the strawberries.
  8. Serve very cold with plain or whipped cream.
