
Spiced Gooseberry Jelly
Ingredients
- 6 quart gooseberries
- 9 pound sugar, or 4 1/2 quarts
- 1 pint vinegar
- 1 tablespoon powdered cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon powdered cloves
- 1 tablespoon powdered allspice
Directions
- Cook the gooseberries, which have been washed and stemmed, with the sugar, for 1 1/2 hours.
- Then add the other ingredients.
- Boil till it jellies.
