Schnitz Pie (Dried Apples)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cover schnitz with water and soak over night.
  2. Add orange rind and juice and more water if necessary.
  3. Boil until soft, then put through colander and add sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Pour into past lined shell, dot with butter, cover with top crust or lattice strips.
  5. Bake in hot oven (450f) for 10 minutes.
  6. Reduce to 350f bake 30 minutes.
